Feeling Peckish at Noodle Supreme 麵尊

After working fervently for most of the afternoon, I realised I haven’t had much lunch and was feeling peckish. I quickly ducked out to Noodle Supreme a local specialty noodle shop serving 車仔麵 (cart wheel noodles). From the list of available ingredient combinations I chose radish, pork neck and pork blood jelly (yes blood!). The pork stock soup was mixed of soy sauce, sesame oil and what I thought was “luo han kuo” which gave its a slightly refreshing dried fruity flavour. There are several types of noodles available, I went for my favourite 油麵 (oily noodles) which was more chewy. The pork neck was cooked through and soft, almost melts in your mouth. The radish could have been cooked abit longer and was not as sweet as I recalled. The pig’s blood jelly had a neutral taste and had a texture like gelatine. It really is an acquired taste (and I have acquired it!) Didn’t take longer for me to finish as I was famish and I shall be back again when feeling peckish!!
