Feeling Peckish at Kau Kee 九記牛腩

21 Gough Street, Central.

Whilst looking for something spicy for afternoon tea on the weekend, I decided to head to Kau Kee for their famous beef brisket noodle. Whilst a clear stock soup version was available, nothing beats their curry beef brisket noodles. I chose the flat egg noodles which had a more chewy texture. The curry soup was hot and spicy, fragrant with its (secret) herbs and spices ;). The beef brisket was cooked through this time so it disintegrated in my mouth while the tendons was cooked to a chewy state so everything in the bowl just was not mushy. Perfect for a late afternoon snack. Washed down with lemon cola, but really good with anything!!
