After much discussion with my foodie bud where to go for dinner, we decided to go for some good French food. I suggested La Parole which I haven’t had a chance to revisit for quite a few months. I still salivate over my prior experience with their foie gras creme brûlée and sadly that dish was no longer available. Our entrees were great, the lightly sear scallop was juicy and fragrant, and the fresh figs complemented the foie gras well. As for the mains, the medium rare rib eye was cooked perfectly and the heavily flavoured gravy added a sweetish taste to the dish. The spatchcock was crispy grilled and fragrant. The chocolate dessert (made with Leonadis chocolate I believe), the dark chocolate complemented well with the hazelnut ice-cream, was a clear winner over the apple vol-au-vent that was a tad too sour for my liking.
